1 Position Open:

PURE Writing Coordinator

 

PURE is a company committed to making lives better for people travelling with allergies and asthma as well as anyone who has trouble sleeping on the road. Head quartered in Buffalo NY, PURE has created a new industry of converting hotel rooms into allergy friendly environments. PURE has relationships with hotels throughout the United States and Canada and works in conjunction with PURE Global who is the international arm of PURE’s products and services. We are an experienced based company; making lives better for hotels and their guests. That’s where you come in!

 

We are searching for the right person to fill a Writing Coordinator position. The writer will be the voice of PURE and speak the brand through multiple digital applications and materials.  The role will be primarily focused on putting out PR and marketing content on a daily basis. You will also be working with web content management systems and social media. We want our employees to be fun, confident, innovative, independent and mostly ecstatic about life and PURE.  The PURE Writer is someone who will enjoy writing to make lives better for everyone involved.  

 

This is not a satelite position.  The employee will need to work out of the PURE office in Buffalo, NY.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Writing

  • Ability to write various types of content, including presentations, through the line copy, website content, e-mail and other campaign copy, editorial-style articles and newsletter copy, blogs, personal profiles, video and radio scripts

  • Content generation for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer

  • Work closely with team to drive content strategy, with proper tone, messaging and effectiveness, providing value for the brand and developing core messages

  • The ability to understand a brand’s tone of voice and research relevant content

  • Develop content that the media and online influencers will pick up on and publish

  • Adapt content for various digital and social channels

  • Review and edit content to ensure the voice is consistent with brand and that proper grammar, spelling and structure is used

  • Astute attention to detail

  • Familiarity with search engine optimization, including keyword strategy, key term discovery and optimized content development

  • Astute copy editing and proof reading skills

  • Interpreting clients briefs

  • Work closely with Directors of Technology and Marketing

  • Highly creative

  • Well read Solid understanding of the English language

  • Work closely with community managers, project managers, strategists and account managers to conceptualize and design creative content that is factually correct, fresh, entertaining, engaging and that meets the client's requirements

  • Conceptualize and write content for use across all public relations and digital platforms

  • Assist in production, recording, editing activities for multimedia content keep up to date on multimedia trends, technologies and techniques Create break through content that engages target audiences

Requirements:

  • Experience as a public relations, digital or content writer

  • Degree in Journalism or English literature (non-negotiable)

  • Electronic portfolio showcasing your experience (non-negotiable)

Qualifications:                  

  • A passion for digital

  • Be well read and have a hunger for information

  • An awareness of current events, pop culture, trends and internet memes

  • Experience with a variety of social media platforms

  • Be able to take on the voice and personality of specific clients and personas

  • Understanding of what constitutes newsworthy copy that journalists will publish

  • Understanding of key words and SEO content design

  • Strong research, analysis, editing and interviewing skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Enthusiasm and a passion for hard work
